Lincoln's Cottage

Lincoln's Cottage is about three miles north of the White House. During his presidency, Lincoln visited the cottage to escape the heat and seek peace of mind during the war. He commuted on horseback along a country road. Today the property is part of the city, but the tranquility can be experienced as Lincoln did.
