Turkey Run Loop

Turkey Run Loop is part of the sinuous George Washington Parkway preserve on the western shore of the  Potomac River in Virginia. It is about a mile and a half round trip.  Walking down the steep switchbacks toward the river feels like being a hundred miles away.
